THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE LATTER RAIN

1. WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?
The gospel is the cross and the results of the cross--the work of the Holy Spirit.

2. WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT?
The Holy Spirit is a Person and the Deity. As God He is equal with the Father and the Son.

3. THE HOLY SPIRIT'S CALL
The Spirit calls us from lives of sin, giving victory over our fallen nature and our sinful behavior.

4. TRANSFORMED BY THE SPIRIT
The new birth (justification) is Christ's righteousness counted for us and bestowed upon us.

5. MADE HOLY BY THE SPIRIT
Holiness (sanctification) is Christ possessed in our hearts by the presence of the Holy Spirit.

6. VICTORIOUS BY THE SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit gives victory over sin, not freedom from human perfection.

7. THE FORMER RAIN
Pentecost was the former rain historically. For us the former rain is the new birth, which must be renewed daily.

8. SEALED BY THE SPIRIT
The first seal of the Spirit is the new birth. The second seal (the end-time seal)prepares us for the coming of Jesus.

9. THE LATTER RAIN
This is the final great outpouring of the Spirit upon those who receive the end-time seal of God.

10. AN UNSURPASSED GIFT
The gift of Christ's righteousness by the Holy Spirit is the qualification for heaven.

11. JESUS' FIVE PRINCIPLES OF SALVATION
John 3 and Romans 3 present the same gospel--righteousness counted and bestowed by the Holy Spirit.

12. A BRAND FROM THE BURNING
Clothed with the righteousness of Christ we are prepared to meet the Lord.
