1. Seeing the King in His Beauty
In a scene of chaos, confusion and fearfulness, picture the children of Israel being called to lift up their eyes and see the King of Beauty as described in Isaiah 33. The prophet Isaiah pressed to the hearts of the children of Israel their need just as he also calls us to see Him today and to picture our future in Zion. Warning: We will never become what Jesus desires us to become until we have first seen Him Who will enable us to lose sight of self and break out of our status quo and helplessness. Listen to hear a moving challenge to see this King of Beauty and to think bigger and to act bigger in terms of spiritual growth.
2. Approaching the Cross of Christ
From the day of HIs birth, Christ's death was somehow central to His life and is sometimes stated “He lived to die.” The shadow of the cross must also penetrate our mind and everything that we are as Christians as if approaching the cross is on a totally different plain from which we exist. We are told it is a mystery that we cannot understand, so we sense our limits. Yet we yearn to understand as we stretch to see the King and His beauty. Learn how we must understand our helplessness as we sense our need to approach the cross of Jesus Christ and the love of God in the uplifted cross--for He died for us, for you and for me!
